A
The “A” classes are for fast riders and capable technical riders. The “A” riders will often share a course with “B” riders, but have their own mandatory “splits” off the “B” course that will be longer and feature some more difficult obstacles.
“A” racers will typically race for a longer time (usually 2-3 hours) than the “B” classes, but the exact details will vary race to race.
B
“B” classes are suited for all the other riders with varied levels of experience. If this is your first race, consider choosing a B class.
These classes are competitive, but the race cut-off time is a little shorter (usually 1.5-2hrs) than the “A” classes and the gnarliest obstacles may see a go-around or a “split” to divert the B racers away from the obstacle.
C
“C” includes the Women’s Beginner class as well as the Kids and PeeWee classes.
These classes race on the short (kids) course on the Saturday of race weekend. Cut-off times for these classes vary.
