VIDRA manages 3 public dirt bike riding areas on the island and put on a great hare scramble race series! You’d be helping us to publicize our races and events by keeping our website up to date with fresh content, checking to make sure the links work, etc.
We raise money through corporate sponsorships, have photographers at our races and have some really cool events! We’d love to do a better job at showing this off on our website.
We’re fully run by volunteers and our board of directors and volunteers are a great team!
Position Description:
- You can work remotely from your own computer.
- Stay in touch with us via Slack (for the most part).
- Publish content to our website at dirtrider.ca like:
- info on our races and upcoming events,
- photos from said events (we’ve got some great photographers!),
- provide fresh content when possible
This is a volunteer position, expected commitment is about 2-4 hours per week. Likely less in the summer when we have a break from events. We’d love you to stay on for the entire season (until Jan 2025) if possible. We can provide a letter of reference for you upon completion if desired.
You don’t have to be a dirtbiker yourself, but cool if you are! If not yet, maybe you’ll catch the bug!
Training/Experience:
If you already have experience updating WordPress sites and/or managing web content, great! If not, it’s not difficult, and we’re willing to teach you. We’ll show you around our website and how to update the content.
